On Tuesday August 11th, members of the DMG team attended and presented label concepts for both the whisky and vodka bottles at Wolfhead Distillery.
Wolfhead Distillery is leading the pack in opening a distillery in Amherstburg, Ontario to serve southwestern Ontario and southeastern Michigan. The vision for the distillery, which began roughly 18 months ago, comes from Amherstburg residents and business owners Tom & Sue Manherz and Larry Girard.
The evening marked the first opportunity for patrons to interact with the ownership trio and learn about the innovative approach to spirits. The consulting team of Steve Wright and Dan Demarco fielded questions related to everything from the “Grain to Glass” process to the unique vodka and whisky flavours to come. Our Vice President, Liz Farano presented the look that will separate Wolfhead from the pack in the years to come.
The initial label concepts were presented to the nearly 50 guests who took part in the focus group. The guests were asked various questions on each label concept such as: “What words come to mind when viewing this label?” and “How likely would you be to buy a product with this label?” Feedback from the guests was incredible and will be used to refine each concept and determine which concept will move forward to production.
The distillery is scheduled for a soft-launch opening in the Fall of 2015, followed by a grand opening in the Spring of 2016.
