When Japanese Guest Houses started 10 years ago it was with a simple idea of helping travellers from around the world discover Japanese hospitality by staying at a traditional Ryokan (Japanese Inn). Today they can look back on helping over 100,000 guests worldwide plan their Japanese getaway.
Growth of interest and the need to keep up to date with technology driven options for their clients, was the driving force for updating their brand and website. They want the visitor to have a smooth and user friendly journey throughout the site. This meant consolidating their navigation into a single beautifully designed menu which features a stylized drop-down. The visitor can select from several links to find many of the main ryokans and information pages. Coupled with easy navigation was the ability to easily update the content within the site making updates to locations and editing the ryokan information a simple process.
Having had good success with linking online to their customers, the enhancement of further SEO, blogging and customer acquisition strategy was identified as a means for gaining a stronger hold on their market. This was achieved by implementing an advanced SEO strategy as well as incorporating their blog directly on their website (they previous used the Blogspot blogging platform).
