Douglas Marketing Group is proud to present the new website for Southwest Solutions. The website was built from the ground up by the DMG online team and features a completely custom design focused on usability and integration.
Southwest Solutions was founded in 1970 and started as a mental health agency. In the 40+ years since, SWS has grown exponentially and has helped build a stronger, healthier Detroit. They provide a range of programs in human and economic development as well as community engagement which has made an incredible impact in Southwestern Detroit.
The idea behind the website was to take the already established and successful communications plan of SWS and bring it to life online. This included a strategy to increase the emphasis on Southwest Solutions programs and we did so by using a large mega-drop-down menu. When clicked, each program page includes an additional navigation menu, information on the program and results the program has achieved – all of which can be easily edited by the client in the Administrator area.
Because Southwest Solutions is a not-for-profit organization, Fund Development and Donations are also an important feature on the website. Each of the sections finds itself within the main navigation bar and highlighted with a different color to draw the eye’s attention. A responsive online donation form allows individuals wishing to donate to SWS to do so from any device including their mobile phone, tablet or desktop-based browser.
The website also featured an easy-to-update blog and news section, increased emphasis on social media integration, a consistent and formatted jobs section and a full event listing.
