A little over two years ago, DMG recognized a growing need for online marketing for businesses in the Windsor-Detroit region. Taking what we’d learned from our 20 years of business experience, we grew our online division and redesigned our website putting a focus on combining traditional marketing with online marketing. We increased traffic to our site through SEO, showcased our community involvement through social media and added a blog to educate our clients and help them solve marketing challenges and recognize opportunities.
Fast-forward two years and we’ve continued to grow and expand our global footprint! The timing was perfect to redesign our site aligning it with the knowledge and evolution of marketing while putting more emphasis on video, inbound marketing, our award winning strategies and the results we’ve worked with our clients to achieve.
So what’s changed?
In a word – everything!
First things first, the custom design and development of the site is completely responsive. That means whether you visit the site on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet the site will be optimized to fit your screen. See a link to one of our pages on the social media app you downloaded on your phone, click it! We promise you’ll enjoy the experience.
We’ve overhauled the design of the site and put an emphasis on visual content. Gone are (most) of the vector images. Here to stay are clean, crisp high quality photos of our client work and community events. The homepage itself acts almost as its own one-page website with a video, information about the company, our services, links to our blog and more! Even if you don’t visit another page on the site, you’ll be able to get a great idea of what we’re all about.
Our user-friendly and simple navigation was something we loved from our first re-design so we’ve kept it the same while enhancing the design. The navigation now “sticks” to the top of the page, meaning as you scroll down, the navigation comes with you. This makes switching between pages a quick and streamlined process.
Emphasis on Results
With a new website comes an updated portfolio and we’ve pulled out all the stops to not only showcase the work we’ve done, but the results we’ve been able to achieve for our clients. On the homepage, we’ve featured 5 clients, highlighting a key statistic of success. For example: Our work with Thomas’ Utopia Brand has yielded 20+ earned media publications. If you click the “See the Rest” button you’ll be taken to the full portfolio of our work with the client which includes the challenge we were presented, the result we achieved and logos for any awards won.
Our Educational Marketing Blog
The one thing we knew we weren’t going to abandon in the new design was the use of our educational and resource-filled blog. Sure, we’ve given it a much more user-friendly look and feel, but at its core, it’s still the same. All of the quality information on advertising, marketing, online marketing and branding is still available and will continue to be updated on a weekly basis.
A few new features on the blog include:
- Much more visible social-sharing icons.
- A “What’s Trending” section for our most popular posts.
- An author bio section so you can learn more about who wrote the blog and their expertise.

Here at DMG, we love collaboration and that couldn’t be more clearly put to action as we developed our web strategy and mapped the site out. Each member of the DMG team touched this project in one way or another and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
