Kay Douglas nominated for Premier's Award, Jan 2005
Windsor, ON - Windsor advertising agency owner Kay Douglas has been named as a 2004 Premier's Awards Nominee. The awards honour graduates of Ontario's Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology and recognize the important social and economic contributions made by graduates.
Douglas graduated from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology's Advertising Program in 1991. Since that time, she has been actively growing her advertising agency, first as Douglas-Brockenshire & Associates (DBA) and then, with a new partner, as HarrisDouglas Strategic Marketing, providing employment, supporting charitable organizations and boosting Windsor's profile through marketing campaigns and volunteerism.
In October, 2004, Douglas received an Alumni of Distinction Award from St. Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology. She shared that honour with four other St. Clair College Alumni, including Mary Jo Haddad, who was recently appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. The Premier's Office has announced that Haddad will receive one of the six Premier's Awards.
"I congratulate Mary Jo Haddad and look forward to seeing her receive the Premier's Award medal at the Premier's Awards Ceremony in Toronto on February 21," says Douglas. "I am very honoured to have been recognized by the Province and to be included in such esteemed company."
The 2004 Premier's Awards Ceremony will be held at Westin Harbour Castle, 1 Harbour Square, Toronto, beginning at 5:30 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2005. |
